Where have your doctors been trained?
Dr Michael McCarthy MD is an Emergency and General Physician (EU) with training in Ireland UK and USA (US Cardiology, Paediatric and Trauma associations)

Our doctors have received training in the EU, ( Austria, Spain, UK ) Georgia, attended formal courses in UK and frequently attend medical seminars in other European countries.

Is there a doctor available 24 hours a day?
YES. 24 hours per day / 7 days a week/ 365 days per year.

How far in advance can appointments be made?
Appointments can be made at any time.

Do you accept walk-ins?
YES.

What should I do when I travel in other parts of Georgia and get sick or hurt?
Contact our 24 hour central emergency numbers. We have clinics in Poti and Batumi and hospital agreements throughout the country. In the event of an emergency, we can have an ambulance in any part of Georgia in a matter of minutes. We also have access to rescue helicopters, Medivac and international Medivac where required.

Will the doctor prescribe medication for me without being seen?
NO, unfortunately we are a Clinic and must review a patient prior to prescribing Non OTC medication. The patient needs to be seen by a physician prior to having medication perscribed.

How can I make payments to IMSS?
We accept cash and most credit cards.

Do you deal directly with insurance companies?
We expect payment from the patient after treatment. We will be happy to provide any medical information needed for the patient to be reimbursed by the insurance carrier directly. In certain circumstances, by prior arrangement, we may take direct payment from insurance companies on a case by case basis

What is Swine Flu?

Since 2005 we have moved on from Avian Flu - we are now dealing with Swine flu (H1N1) pandemic

2009 H1N1 (sometimes called “swine flu”) is a new influenza virus causing illness in people. This new virus was first detected in people in the United States in April 2009. This virus is spreading from person-to-person worldwide, probably in much the same way that regular seasonal influenza viruses spread. On June 11, 2009, the World Health Organization (WHO) signaled that a pandemic of 2009 H1N1 flu was underway.

YES, we have a full complement of European Vaccinations and drugs approved to EU and US FDA standards.

YES, we are available to come to your location 24/7/365 should the need arise.
