IMSS Ltd. provides western medical support services predominantly to the oil & gas pipeline industries throughout the world. Our western qualified doctors are experienced in supporting major multinational companies in offshore, seismic, drilling and construction projects.


BTC Oil Pipeline

IMSS was the first medical contractor on the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) project from its commencement in August 2002. With fully equipped ambulances and medical staff in strategic locations along the pipeline route in Georgia, IMSS supported pre-construction and construction work. Our services included project health management, occupational health screening, pre-employment screening, drug abuse screening, controlling water and food chains, insect and animal vectors, and other lines of consultancy as required.


GT&E (Georgia Train & Equip Program) Halliburton Brown & Root

From August 2002, IMSS assisted the US Armed forces "Train & Equip Program" with the following:

  • Logistics for main camp set up
  • Resolving health, water and sanitation issues
  • Advice on procurement of water filtration units
  • iaison with top US military health officials in formulating programs for military health initiatives
  • Identifying in country risks and methods of circumventing hazards
  • Vaccination programs, medical equipment and medication procurement
  • Pre employment screening for GT&E local employees

Embassies & NGOs

IMSS presently holds formal contracts with the US embassy. IMSS is the preferred medical service provider in Georgia for the embassies of the United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Israel, Germany and the UN. In addition, IMSS has contracts with several NGOs anxious to benefit from our expatriate service presence, highly trained staff and modern facilities in Georgia. Examples include: CARE, Mercy Corps, Peace Corps and NDI. IMSS has pending contracts with UNOMIG, UNDP, and WHO.


OSCE - Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe

IMSS supports OSCE with their border monitoring activities by providing primary and emergency medical care services utilizing 40 western trained Georgian doctors stationed in remote locations throughout Georgia. In addition, IMSS provides OSCE with consultation, medical evacuation plans and occupational health care.


CanArgo

IMSS provides the following health care services to CanArgo/GBOC for its drilling project in Georgia:

  • 24 hour health care and emergency service both on project sites and in Tbilisi
  • Hygiene inspections and sanitation services
  • First aid training
  • Pre-employment screening
  • Medical evacuation
